One of the great things about our park is the variety and number
of activities that are available for our residents at the RV
Park. You will most likely find something that appeals to
you whether you are looking for outside activities, inside
activities, social gatherings, dance classes, exercise classes
or special events.

The outside recreation opportunities include; open and league
play for horseshoes, Bocce and Shuffleboard. We have a
very active bike club with twice weekly rides. It’s a
great way to explore the area. There is a heated pool.
Synchronized swimming is taught twice weekly, and water
exercises are held three times a week. Also, spirited
games of water volleyball are enjoyed twice weekly. |

We are located on the Imperial River and have a small boat ramp.
In our area, the river offers great opportunities for fishing,
canoeing, kayaking and small motor boats. Many of our RV
sites are on the river. The Imperial River is navigable
from our park to the Gulf. |

If you are looking for inside activities, we have; Billiards,
Ping-Pong, twice-weekly Bingo, bowling, and regular card games
that include Bridge, Canasta, Cribbage, Euchre, “500” and
Pinochle. The crafters meet twice weekly to work on their
various projects. In addition, there is a library, a TV room and
6 high speed Internet lines. Wireless internet is now
available throughout the RV section. |

Our social, or group, activities include; pancake breakfasts or
suppers, monthly coffee and doughnut socials, ice cream socials,
“hat” luncheons (red is optional) and solos/singles activities.
There are weekly dances in our large recreation hall with
popular live bands and bi-weekly “happy hours with
entertainment. There are numerous group trips to the
nearby theaters, gambling boat etc.

For those wanting to keep fit or who enjoy improving their dance
skills, there are daily exercise classes, and water aerobic
classes three times per week. We have dance classes in
beginning and intermediate tap, a jazz class, line dancing and
beginning and intermediate ballroom dancing. |

Our annual variety show put on by the dancers and other
residents is one of the special events. It is a very
professional performance put on by the dancers and other
residents. Another event is our pet parade. The
yearly shuffleboard “Turkey shoot” provides a great way to enjoy
the sport and gathering with friends. Each sports activity
hosts a luncheon banquet for their participants at the end of
the year. Also, “State/Canada day” lunches are scheduled
to celebrate the residents’ “northern” homes with others from
the same area. |
